not sure how you can be an homage to bands that are influenced by the same things your band is influenced by. i think they all just play a similar style of retro-obsessed death metal.

most of the morbid angel/immolation-ish bands nowadays tend to have a bit of cut and paste riffage going on at times if that makes sense, even the best ones like blood incantation, its really hard to make that shit sound seamless like when trey does it. but still this rocks
