This is gonna get a shiny 4 I believe.
Definitely the Sunn O))) and Coltrane comparison is pretty accurate.
I would give it a 4.5 just because the incredibly sinister atmosphere it creates, and the being in the performance feel it has, but I feel the tracks could have more enrapturing explosions instead of streeeeeeetching for such a long runtime.

Couldn’t agree more. If I were able to increment in 0.1, this’d be more like a 4.2 or 4.3. Gave it the benefit of the doubt, both because of its ambition and because I always end up making it to the end of the year with embarrassingly few 4.5+ scores. Still only have two so far this year 🥴🥴🚷🚷
