Vocal mix is too dry and vocals generally pretty uninteresting IMO. I get that he's probably trying not to do too much and ruin the atmosphere, but the mixing and the persistent undersinging doesn't add much over the course of the album. Step Into You, for instance, has such great energy on a musical level but the vocals bring it all down.

the vocals are perfect and exactly what you would expect if you've heard their other material. it's actually incredible how accurately they were able to recreate the sonic feel of their older material while still making something fresh and interesting
