Not sure why I'm sitting here listening to this album again (boredom at work?) but if you told me Bloody Nose was a cut song from Heroine by From First to Last I'd believe you in an instant.

I love this band! Selt-titled is my fave album of all time! This, much like The Canyon, just sucked the first few months because everything since Artwork has been such a letdown. However, this and The Canyon have grown on me massively. Not going in expecting 2002 quality/vibes makes the world of difference.

first three tracks on the deluxe are excellent, it kinda peters out after that, but sub those in for the 2-4 run on the regular album and you fix so many problems lol

theres def a few more songs here id drop than just that 2-4 run but those are absolutely the worst offenders here

River Stay is the one I can't stop spinning but yeah the choruses on Night Sea and Brothers are absolute money. that's one of their best 3-song runs ever

yea thats a really good playlist. looks pretty similar to the one im toying with, down to having identical opening and closing 3 song stretches. more or less keep the same songs too, altho im not quite sold on blood meridian yet, have never really cared for infinite jest, and have a decent enough amount of fun w the lottery where id probably keep it despite the glaring "we dont know how to write a heavy song"-ness about it
edit: yea nvm gonna exclusively use yours from now on flows so smoothly. the lottery would only disrupt that + both blood meridian and infinite jest grew on me a good bit in that context

Caught The Used live last night on tour with Coheed and I was surprised at how good they sounded. It sucks that Bert can't scream anymore since his were so damn iconic in all their biggest songs but I felt bad during the set because he was absolutely hammering chloraseptic spray down his throat throughout every song. Bummer the guy fucked up his vocal cords so badly but he was still super energetic and sang well so I was happy.

It is almost like they pretended the canyon was never made and just continued down the terrible path they were on with imaginary enemy. Even the album covers are similar.
