Dig this. I still find myself mostly coming back to The Ritual for Testament, though. If I'm in a thrashier mood I throw on ... And Justice for All or Endgame or the Flotsam debut lately.

--Is there a guest vocalist on Curse of Osiris?--

The black metal vocals on all the Testament albums are done by their guitar player, Eric Peterson. He has a black metal side project called Dragonlord. Dragonlord are not very good, but for brief moments his black metal influences can enhance a Testament song.

Is that 3.9 just for rating flex Willie?

Parts of this is growing for me. I've got a few more albums on my list this week - but I'll give this another go after that

I mean the 4 (to which non staffers must round is just there) why do you tease us with your decimals? I mean, they would make my life so much easier on sput. I'm envy right now.

Ha ha. Four means "Excellent", and while I'm listening to this album it gets so damn close, but I was never like, "Yep. No doubt. This is one excellent release." Ha ha. My over-thought ratings.

I can relate, and again it's some jealously on my part. The .5 increments have some short comings.

I agree. The .1 increments is one of the cooler updates Mx made to the site.

Hopefully I'll get to that stage where I can make the most of them.

I think they should make people who want to have decimal increments write an essay about how a 3.3 and 3.4 differ from each other in terms of quality. If they can't - tough shit, son.

I'll do the difference between 1.0 and 1.1 if that suits sir.

Nope, it has to be 3.3-3.4 or 4.3-4.4.
