This album is so damn good. Wanderer was pretty meh so I'm glad they really came back with this.

On one hand, I think they could have shrunk this album down to a single disc and made it 'stronger'. On the other, who decides which songs stay and which go? Like a 'best of' disc, there would be people's favorites missing no matter what.

I still think that 3.5 of yours has a couple decimals of growth.

I haven't come back to it since I rated it. I'll have to throw it on again.

This is a good and solid album but I think a band like this releasing a double album is just overkill tbh

There is no overkill here tbh.

Haven't made it through the whole album yet. Hopefully can rate soon.

Get through the first disc and you can assume the rest

Sorrows of Victory hits like a clean vocal track from DT.
I thought that at first too, but there are very good songs in the back half.

My exact thoughts on this tbh, if this was like a 11-12 track album this would've been an easy 4.5, but then again I'm not sure which songs I'd want to remove.

this is pretty great all the way through, it's just hard to GET all the way through. There's nothing really to be trimmed but I feel like it could have benefited from being released as two separate albums with some time in between. It's a bit overwhelming. But great tunes regardless. Best thing they've done in a while.

Great album to listen to during work in my opinion, got the time there so the length is a plus.

Sounds like a Best of Heaven Shall Burn double CD collection, but with all original tracks. Awesome.

I'd put this as my current AOTY so far. Still 6 months to beat it though.

like soilwork, these guys were a very unlikely band to pull off a double album. to their credit, I’m still enjoying most of it. still jamming la resistance on the gym playlist daily
