I cant help but feel they've changed too much to fit the commercial aspect the label would be after.
Confusing experimentation with commercialism? I, for one, can't see how a song like The Approaching Curve (Reading Rainbow, meet Minor Threat,) Survive (for the ambitious introduction,) or even Diaspora to an extent would immediately be among the more formulaic likes of Ocean Ave. or Stay As You Are.

Rise Against is by far my favorite band. I like Tims voice because it sounds so raw while many other bands sound much more edited, I guess thats the right word for it, or I would say redone.

This is also their best album yet. It kind of reminds me of Siren Song of Counter Culture howver because no matter what kind of stlye of music your into youll probably find at least one track on this album that youll like

RPM is more consistent in its sound, while this one jumps around stylistically. It really depends just on which one you seem to like better once you listen to them. Also,

Yeah, go for A Whilhelm Scream.

Wow, Tim was in a band with Pete Wentz.

Pretty odd combo.

I've seen these guys three times this year (g/f loves them) and been a casual fan since Revolutions Per Minute, but in all honesty these guys are getting pretty generic and commercial, and this album is the best example of it. RPM owns this any day.

I usually hate punk but lots of these songs really got to me. "...Refugee" is probably my favorite

Okay so this album is awesome. Injection, Prayer to the Refugee, and Chamber the Cartridge rule.

Raised my rating. I had to, this is fucking awesome. I'm surprised I'm becoming so addicted to a non-metal band. The only slightly lackluster song imo would be "Under the Knife" (I dont know why, it just never stood out to me as much as the others)

Survive is slowly becoming my favorite...but for now it's still Injection and Prayer to the Refugee.

Good, but I've unfortunately thought less of this with each listen. I can't stand the spoken word in "The Approaching Curve"
