Album is a very solid Kanye album. I don't really give a shite what an artist is raving about on their songs - I can't imagine what trash grindcore and death metal bands are on about. For some people its very important and the Christian angle is very off putting. On a purely musical level the album is par for the course for Kanye minus MBDTF so I can't see how it wouldn't beat the junk Christian metalcore bands are producing and whatever other rubbish is filling the category.

idk man I'd much rather listen to the devil wears prada than this if we are going by the Christian standard here...

A lot of damaged souls, I done damaged those
And in my arrogance, took a camera pose
Caught with a trunk of Barry Manilows
They sing a different tune when the slammer close
From the concrete grew a rose
They give you Wraith talk, I give you faith talk
Blindfolded on this road, watch me faith walk
Just hold on to your brother when his faith lost

lmao tfw Weezer's recent output far eclipses Kanye's (post)-Trump era work
Donda sounds so cluttered, lacking in cohesion, and would he kindly stop recording albums a few days before "release?"

forgot how good his early stuff was
still like 808s to yeezus the best but damn...diamonds from sierra leone is amazing

Yeezus is a damn classic, one of the most compact and satisfying 40 minute hip hop albums I've ever heard. MBDTF hasn't aged as well, but like in spite of it the production soars. Even TLOP has its moments. This and Donda are so bad tho, so bad it's as if he's being Being-John-Malkovich'd by an AI. Man's not himself

And as I'm listening to it now, I'm wondering whether Yeezus is as good as it is only due to Rick Rubin's willingness to hammer it into a presentable state on short notice. Unquestionably that was the turning point in Ye's career. Like George Costanza, he needs a round-the-clock team

Yea what robertsona said, as per. Pablo is his last rly stellar album. Everything before it rules too. Ye does have a couple good tracks but very meh overall

Ye isn't that bad honestly. Not as good as prior work, but still a fine listen.
