It's impressively varied for an album that could easily feel shockingly one-dimensional, at least in a relative sense (it still has a homogeneous quality, but that's inevitable and not necessarily to its detriment). A few of the tracks progress in a way that's surprisingly engaging.
I remember liking Hypermagic more, but maybe that had more of a 'shock value' type impact to an impressionable young man, idk. Only heard it once in the last year/god-knows-actually-how-long.
