I actually offered a critique, I still don’t see a counter-argument to this or the initial review. People can disagree all they like, but at least offer something in return. If not, then shit-post away.

I don’t like Meshuggah, well Chaosphere is alright actually. Massively overrated band though.

The insane aggression of this can be enjoyable at times but it can also be weirdly difficult to hear at others. The production sounds sharp and not in a good way.

Yup need people to actually say what's up instead of slapping a 4 or 5 on every new album with riffs and rawness that pops up

Angular, crushing riffs and breakdowns. Meshuggah-esque in its all-out brutality. A refreshing throwback to the Black Market Activities-era of bands (the_Network, Ed Gein, From A Second Story Window, Psyopus, A Life Once Lost, etc) that sacrificed songwriting and overall cohesion for testing the limits in how far a listener can handle instrumental showmanship. While still retaining its overall 'core roots.

(edit: sorry for the sound-off)

Good review Johnny but you might need to do a little editing. You're missing quite a few articles.

A couple weeks ago I saw Misha Mansoor waiting for a donair in a donair/pizza place and he was wearing a Car Bomb hoodie and I'm starting to think it's sarcastic. I get it now, Misha!

The Periphery guys rep their tour partners hard. Like, I don't even know if I've ever seen them in anything other than other bands' merch. Misha probably bought his Ferrari with money he saved on clothes.
