I can't say I am disappointed with this one quite yet, I need to listen to it a couple more times. First impressions were not the best though. It could've been the hype from learning they had a new album and the fact that their previous album is my favorite, but this almost let me down.

New single still isn't fantastic, but it's better than whatever they released back in August, getting Volta vibes. Can't believe that they wrote that previous single and actually thought ''yeah, we should put that on the new record.''

I was kinda disappointed by the new song. The two new singles songwriting feels very safe for them, even juxtaposed against some of the softer songs on this album.

I think it's pretty obvious the band is going for a mainstream appeal while leveraging their brand so to speak. way easier than just starting a new band from scratch.
