nvm i gave their whole discog a relisten last night while working out, and it definitely changed my perspective on how absolutely crushing and energized these guys perform, even if it sounds a bit derivative (and occasionally uninspired). but this and their Pop Culture EP (my personal fav by a longshot tbh) are SLIDIN into the workout playlist EZZZZ

also that may be partially because i always thought of them as more of a (really fucking heavy) metallic hardcore band, but it just turns out they're deathcore with more hardcore influence than metal influence, which is actually kind of refreshing compared to, well, the rest of deathcore lol

The intro to Trapped in the Grasp is probably my favorite moment in the album. Bangs.

The low growls are fine. A few good riffs here and there as well. The chugs also bring the mosh.

Too bad the main vocals sound like a screeching parrot.

It's either vox or vocals.

You can't have both.

vocals are one of the most appealing key factors of this band. Hard to find someone sounding more aggressive than Bryan, every word just sounds as if someone killed his family and he tuck his little toe on a table while chasing that someone

I mean, I guess it all comes down to how you experience things. To me, he more comes across like the geeky kid who got mad and yells at you because you snatched his dessert, before you silence him with a backhanded slap.

Album isn't bad tho.

I like the kid's style. Thin and mad against all bearded bad ass metal bulls lolol just as the vocals...and I can't just hold myself from a big "WTF!" when those low growls come in (whomever/wherever they come)
