oof the heavy moments really don't mesh together very well, look at the start of Antler's Decay for example, just sounds like kind of a mess, I am extremely torn on this album, in one light I admire the technicality and skill brought forth, but in another light the execution is less than stellar, shame really, cause their core sound is pretty interesting, but there is just something about it that's... not quite right...

Yeah I was lukewarm on this upon release but it's almost unlistenable to me now. They throw a lot of flashy technical tricks at you to distract from the total lack of coherent songwriting. It's so repetitive. They're all talented musicians, seriously, but just for my tastes personally this is a swing and a miss.

That bass tone actively ruins this entire album maybe besides the softer parts), also the vocalists screams are very sub par, seems kind of amateurish

Finally found my issue with this album, it doesnt sound too bad when it's just a singular guitar or something like that, but when the full band comes in it ends up sounding very muddy and quite messy as well

New song is pretty good, but man better production would help so much... When the vocals come in at first you just hear how bad they sound compared to the guitar. Full mix is weird too

This 100% something I should love but it doesn't fully click.
I think it boils down to songwriting and vocals.
At lot of the parts are really awesome but they have trouble making things ebb and flow the right way. And while the vocals sound nice enough in the lower register there's a definite lack of range here. And the few times the vocals go a bit higher they sound almost amateur-ish. There's just a clear lack of anything memorable in most songs.
I do like this more than the Polyphia rip-offs they're doing now though. Except Deadrose, Deadrose rules.

agreed with all the above @pearnoy.
I still quite like this album even though I also think the vocals are pretty amateurish at times as you say, the instruments absolutely slay on this and the bass is a huge highlight. Deadrose easily their best new song and it's not even close.
