I will, I'ma re-listen a couple more listens. Between 3.5-4 for me. Debating on what to give it. Leaning more towards a 4

Yeah, this is really good and I'm surprised by the low scores.

It may be quite repetitive, but holy shit that sound is massive (bass tone kills it). I haven't yet found any post- instrumental band quite as enjoyable as RC, any recommendations?

Yeah, decent listen this. I jam it a lot when I'm trying to read and stay awake in sleepy afternoons.

It's not bad just feels like too much of the same.
Like ABR to me, nothing technically wrong with it just all the records start to sounds very similar.

yea totally agree there. i find bands like that require a lot of listens to fully appreciate albums. at first i'm like everything sounds the same then after a while i really get into it. counterparts is another example.

Well you are not wrong Noctus, they were great live, the hard parts are massive and they play tight af, but God after an hour I was soooooo... done.

I struggled with this one. Just an homogenous sludgey mess. Really couldn’t find anything that provided any sense of narrative, movement or progression. Just locked into one sound, one groove and repeat. The songs don’t build towards anything and there is no respite from the suffocating production (the two interludes do nothing to help matters or make their mark). The music just feels out of focus and smothered, there are no peaks or troughs, no dynamics. Looked at in isolation each song fares a bit better, but after the promising Arluck, it’s a real dredge, like walking through quicksand until Quartered shows some individual flare and a riff that at least peaks my interest. Shame as I thought Guidance was one of their best and had high hopes. I don’t suppose RC have ever been one for atmospherics and crescendos and ambience but a dash of something extra wouldn’t have gone amiss.

As a general rule I prefer Pelican, Caspian and Jakob when it comes to seeking a more engaging and emotive listen with music of this style.
