Wish there was more down and dirty chugging like on Boogiewoman

Agreed, the middle section drags for me. But the rest is really good.

Been screwing around and learning some of their songs. Pretty simple and fun as hell.

I haven't played anything of theirs since the third album. Are they still using that drop C tuning?

Mostly yeah, but Boogiewoman is down in Drop A. I usually play through my computer and headphones so my wife heard me playing it and was cracking up cos all she could hear acoustically was the click of the pick attack and apparently I just sounded like a human metronome.

I play solely through computer/headphones too and I kinda feel bad for anyone who listens in on me. All they're getting is the acoustic clicking of my 3 mm pick and me playing the same thing over and over again at increasing speeds lol

Yep, I can't imagine using 3 mm for any other style.

Eye Teeth is better, but the t/t, Boogiewoman and Burn All Your Rock Records are bangers too.

Also, a 3mm pick?! :o I used to use stock Planet Waves 0.8mm's out of convenience, but was sick of wearing down the pick after a single rehearsal or show. Switched to Dunlop nylon 1mm's and haven't really looked back since. The only thing I have to be careful is how I do pick scrapes because they notch easily (despite not wearing down at all) and start messing with my alternative picking.
