this is way more consistent than emotion, i dunno what to tell ya. I'd even say i like the production here more. The only thing that's missin here is a bit of spark in the singles. Nothing on the "run away with me" or "boy problems"-tier.

more consistent? pffffffffffffft. i mean, it's pretty uniform if that's what you mean. it's a solid album all the way through, and emotion does have like 1 or 2 songs i'd scrap, but there are like 6 or 7 top tier songs on emotion and far as i can tell julien is the only one here.

EMOTION is amazing, but I've come around to this a lot more in the last few weeks. Might even have to bump up to a 4.0 eventually, we'll see.
Tracks like Real Love, Julien, Happy Not Knowing, and No Drug Like Me are certified bangers. I still think there's a bit too much uniformity here, making the margins feel stuffed with filler. But that could change as I grow more and more familiar with the tracks.
Conversely, the only songs on EMOTION that I don't absolutely love are LA Hallucinations and Black Heart. Everything else ranges from great to masterful imo.
