Three different reviews of this album, but no tracklist. Is that a millennial thing?

I like 'You should see me in a crown' off this.

Oh wait you mean she's an industry plant?

That totally changes the actual music so I'd better rewrite this whole review.

i'm six pages late on this but when i first heard eilish (bellyache?), it reminded me of 2013 Lorde. the goth pop vibes are strong, feel like a bunch of reviewers have made that (tired) connection

i dont think the "industry plant" criticism is that invalid in instances where there is truth to it, the idea of being mislead to believe an artist is self-manufactured and that the process of their ascension to fame is organic is definitely a bit troubling. there is a certain level of respect to be gained from true autonomy, and being essentially 'groomed' and processed into fame is kind of a superficial, money-grubbing polarity to that

the idea of an "industry plant" is galaxy-brain level retarded. marketing and A&R exists. so what if someone's ascension isn't "organic"? people sell fake bills of goods every day in entertainment

prettymuch every artist to ever make it big can then be described as an industry plant
