on one hand, it took me at least a year to appreciate grim reaper, but unlike that and tomboy i don't see buoys having sonic treasure worth digging up over time

as with doof and a vocal minority besides, I think Buoys is actually a better album than Tomboy or Panda Bear Vs The Grim Reaper. Never liked those thangs

those albums have enough depth and layers in the production that I find it easy to get lost in. since buoys is so one note I just can’t lose myself in it. That wouldn’t be as big of an issue if I didn’t find the songwriting so dull on top of that
