Advice for Genichiro tho: always be attacking or deflecting. Mikiri counter all his stabs. When he backs away, back towards him and attack twice, then get ready to deflect. Don't be afraid to use healing items because there's barely time to use them in the third phase, so in the third phase you're gonna need to not get hit. Play highly defensive and stand back. He does a LOT of thrusts in this phase so just mikiri counter, stab him twice, back away ahain. If he does a lightning attack, jump sideways in the air. If it hits you in the air, press R1 before you land to mitigate all damage and shock him - then run in and stab two or three times. Rinse and repeat until dead.

Yeah the shaman guy who has insane health and posture and is constantly unloading terror attacks

Shaman guy is total joke tbh, just equip divine confetti and own him. Agreed about Genichiro, definitely be aggressive as fuck.
|
| |
are you using divine confetti and purifying agent? you need both for both bosses.

I thought Genichiro was insanely hard at first but once I adapted my playstyle I was able to easily break his posture and destroy him. The later game bosses honestly make him look like a cake walk by comparison.
|
| |
I was using both items but I had used a lot of both and hadn't even whittle half its health down and the posture wasn't breaking at all despite my deflects bc he always flies away
|
| |
hmm not sure. with the confetti i just went ape shit on the shaman and whenever he ran away i'd re-apply if it fell off and face hug him again until he died.
|
| |
I'll just try that again then, I only tried fighting him once
I'm more concerned with the Headless though. Is there an item you get later that can nullify their slowdown effect or do you just need a lot of patience and confetti?

Yeah man don't be timid in that fight, run right up to him and avoid any incoming projectiles and then just aggressively attack him. Probably the easiest mini boss in the game imo, but a cool one. I have considerably more difficulty with the Headless.
|
| |
i believe the divine confetti clears it if you attack enough (although he'll re-apply it later). same kinda strategy as shaman: just go nuts on him and block when you can. but yeah it's a pain in the ass all the same. it's my least favorite fight in the game other than snake eyes shirahagi and shirafuji. just not fun at all lol
|
| |
Hmm i'll give them both another go soon. I'm up to Corrupted Monk rn, not too hard so far but I imagine there will be another one of those sneaky phase 2 parts that I have to learn

Snake Eyes Shirahagi is 150% trash, agreed. Headless aren't the worst ever but they can be frustrating, you def need to be aggressive and yeah divine confetti clears their slowed status effect a little. Corrupted Monk is only 1 phase when you fight her in the woods. That fight can be cheesed hard with snap seeds.
|
| |
Oh what really? What do snap seeds do? I will try it out.
I found both Snake Eyes mini bosses super easy.
|
| |
Also I just remember I can see my playtime in the load menu: 30 hours so far
|
| |
Just got the ability to dive underwater lol time to go literally dive under every single body of water in the game
|
| |
Diving!? WTF!!!?
|

Argh damn it I shouldn't have killed the giant snake!! I wanted to marry it ever since I found that note at the beginning and NOW ive just found the wedding chamber!! I know what I'm doing on NG+ now.
|
| |
I also killed the surgeon bc he seemed creepy af but now i kinda wish i kept him alive and gave him what he wanted
|
| |
I kept failing at gen then I upgraded the block tier in ashina skills and did first go after. May of been luck or it did help
