I think Undertow is my favorite from this, so much emotion behind that ending

I'm seeing them live tonight and they do 50% of this disc (the whole first part up to Rope Ends), I'll be fanboying as the worst directioner

pretty sure it's Gildenlow's fav record. It would make sense considering the content...

I'm not a lyric kinda guy but the last vocal-only section and specifically that very last line of the album just gets to me. In the context of things and the way it's delivered. The icing on the cake for the album.

I think this album is a little overrated by fans. TPE and BE are definitely better imo

Concept-wise I always preferred this to TPE. Musically.. eh I don't know man, here they reached their peak that was never touched again imho; this is quirky as hell (Chain Sling, Fandango) while TPE is more consistent sound-wise. BE is not consistent at all but I love all three discs anyway, so..

They did both Beyond the Pale and the Perfect Element back-to-back yesterday, it was glorious.

I don't know if this is Gildenlow's fav record but seeing them rocking out on their 'old school' tracks gave me hope for the next lp.

Honestly TPE is the album that needs to be remastered and remixed, not RL

not sure I agree with that.. the first two really sound like shit so I'd go towards them, but yeah between RL and TPE it's still a no brainer as to which one needs it.

The debut sounds good to me, but one hour does need a remaster as well.

yeah you're right Entropia doesn't sound that bad dunno why I lumped it with the other, One Hour's production is so thin and shit tho

This was my favorite band when I was about 13 or 14, so actually hearing a good album from them again is pretty awesome.

I'm really happy about how the album came out, but It's hearable that Dan was not the only good man in the old PofS line-up songwriting-wise (instrumental parts are a bit lacking).

I may have cried during the title track though, Daniel does the best corny love songs ever

Man, the lyrics of Beyond The Pale are pretty ... rapey? I don't know, it's very dark. Any ideas what it is about?
