This album is good, but last year's Graduating Life's "Grad Life" is a million times better. Very similar style, but Graduating Life is more passionate, artistic, dynamic and deserves more attention.

This leaves me with some complicated feelings. I think the acoustic stripped back sound suits Max’s voice incredibly well. Musically, this might be my favorite thing they’ve done. I also think lyrically this is really interesting, especially discussing sexuality within the genre.

But then those last three songs . . . There’s a difference between having an unlikeable character and glorifying murdering a lover out of hate (especially an LGBT one in this current climate) and then heroically committing suicide. I don’t think there’s inherently anything wrong with including those ideas in a concept album or story, I just don’t think it’s done well enough to justify how uncomfortable and problematic it is.

Only thing I found intriguing about grad life was all the instrumental decoration

Maybe I just listened to really bad songs? I HATED the dudes voice and lyrics and thought the music was really bland

76 total reviews of this album. Remember when Bemis was a scene God and compared to Jesse Lacey(rip)? Sure this site isn't as popular is it used to be, but my God did he fall to obscurity and this album came and went like a wet fart.

You know... I haven't listened to anything this band made post-Real Boy. Is this worth it? Been intrigued by the concept of it.
