"Martin Bell" is probably the closest to their last album that this gets. They've got some roots in post-metal and it really helps in making those explosive moments pop even louder than usual.

The falsetto backing vocals remind me of something so hard and I can’t put my finger on it. At first I thought it was maybe noise pollution by Portugal the man or something but no... anyone have a clue?

I don't know, I feel like they could be from a few different sources potentially. Nice rating there though m/

If Mars likes it, I probably will too. In need of some more boozing metal/hardcore.

Thanks for the support my man. And yeah, if you need something fun to throw down to, I think this fills the bill pretty nicely. Fair warning: it gets heavy as fuck, clear some space for headbanging.

Welcome to the club dudes, glad you enjoyed it! I like the delivery on that song personally, seems to fit in line well with the album's context. I can definitely see it not being for everyone though

Early in the year we got the craziness in the Erdve thread to reach about #3. Maybe we can strive to beat it this time buckos.

Tried that new 1975 album and immediately came to this to wash the badness out of my ears lol

Standard pop fair, you aren't missing a thing.

Feels like I've seen like 3-4 new albums released recently I want to check outside of that. Gotta cram a shitton for December

I listened to Cult Leder's debut and enjoyed it, but I don't think I'll return to that. Four Stroke Baron I might add to my list though, that one must have passed me by.

I was definitely on top of that Ocean release too, had to jump aboard that hype train. They shed the prog almost completely, but the pure post-metal direction suits them well.
