My assumption was correct. This is probably gonna go down as AOTY.

Revisited Inmazes after this and bumped it up to a 4. It's better than I remembered it, though still a bit weaker than this. Man this band is so good

Night Verses dragged for me after a while, I didn't quite jump on that hype train.

Sounds pretty good, my headphone only works on one side at the moment but I would really wanna come back to this with some decent equipment. Gonna check out their earlier record for sure! I feel like this record is gonna be a huge influence on my writing

Seen them yesterday. They played Smartfriend, Ghosts, Alien Shivers and Whaler, as well as Stray the Skies, Gutter Moon, Starborn, and You're an Endless Dreamer from Inmazes. I gotta say I'm impressed by their performance, you could see they enjoyed it even if the crowd was really small (literally only 3 of us knew the lyrics to some of their songs). Here's a video of Alien Shivers if anyone's interested:

Isn't that kind of the point of a review?

This isn't as heavy as Inmazes or as immediately hard-hitting. In return, you get something that's more varied and atmospheric in comparison, which I think is an effective trade-off. Flows really well too

These dudes are starting to remind me of Silhouettes era Textures which is fantastic because that album is one of the modern metal goats.

This digging at #4 is commendable when 3, 2, and 1 all have massive Sputnik fanboy cults.

@bloc yeah that record is amazing. I do think the vibe of this record is completely different, but I'd say the two are just as good

Anyone else as floored as me from the atmosphere that the song Vertigo provides? Holy shit, the lead in of the soft guitar into the synth.

Vertigo is definitely the most impressive song here
