It’s just a lot of the strumming patterns and the sound of the guitar remind me of some of his peak folk material, and some of the more death-oriented lyrics aren’t a million miles away from some of the Benji stuff.

Stuck between a 3.5 and 4.0 for the new one. Love the lyrics, love the melodies, love the repetition, love all the little instrumental flourishes. Nothing really sticks out to me though (except for Oh my God). Album may be a little too subtle for me. That said I haven't stopped listening to it, so.

^ Update: I did it. Definitely one of my favorite folk releases in a good while. Lyrics, melodies, production, arrangements, textures, emotions, they’re all on point. I was even more impressed after noticing how much of the instrumentation was done by Moser themself - it’s clear this was a real labor of love.
