I bought the LP at the show I went to when they said on their IG they'd have the blue variant on tour
Got home ripped it open and it was black

Maybe it’s a mass manufacturing error or something. Or maybe when they pressed the variant, the ratio of black to blue pellets was way off. I dunno.

As a non vinyl collector, what does the color matter?

I LIKE EXCLUSIVE SHIT XING
colored variants are usually made in lower quantity, making them more valuable to collectors
For instance, I'm pretty sure the red first pressing of Jane Doe was going for like $900 at some point since there's only 150 of them out there.

Do yourself a favor and don't start collecting vinyl. It's my most expensive timesink by far.

I own a few records from when I originally wanted to start collecting vinyl but after buying about three of them, I realized what a horrific sink hole it was financially.

And for me the fact that I just load my cds into my computer anyway so there's no real point of me buying physical copies. Only point I guess is because in my car I need to rely on cds so they have a purpose there. No record player sadly although I've always wanted one

I really only buy records from bands that are either kinda small to help support or from bands that I know will always put out quality music.
I have Spotify for everything else.

yea this one wasn't as immediate as their other stuff and i didn't know how i liked them goin a lil softer but now i love it
|
| |
It’s not really softer tbh, the harder tracks here still go just as hard as their other shit. This one just has a bit more variety

I think the ebb and flow of switching between the "softer" moments give this more contrast so when the real heavy stuff comes it catches you off guard more than the previous work. I think it's more successful.

I almost agree, but I think YM&tV is just as good. A bit darker and more violent overall, and the closer is badass

overall this is excellent work...sometimes the vibe gets a little tiring, I'm in a 3.7 but hopefully this will stick around and I'll give it other spin briefly
