Yeah old SW was pretty average imo. This was a huge step up. No doubt older Havok and especially older Warbringer are still better

Serpents Unleashed is such a good time imo.

Deathhammer - Evil Power is the final boss though (regarding straightforward traditional/revival shit, that is).

I'd actually say old and new SW are on the same level for me. Different sound obviously, but still. And yeah, Serpents Unleashed ruled hard

I'm going to be hypocritical here & do that thing that I lambaste other BM albums for... 'it's cohesive & retains a consistent atmosphere throughout'.
