"one of the core parts of the game is simulating dating teenage girls"
only played P5, but everything in the game felt entirely appropriate and plausible for the age range in question. absolutely no denying that certain people have made this extremely weird in the way they've engaged with it outside of their game character
"there's like ass statues and stuff"
oh...no?
|
| |
yeah I'm not saying there's anything necessarily wrong with it it just seems a bit weird to me. there's also some sus comments made from certain characters in regard to that in the 4th one but I guess that's to intentionally portray them as creepy
there are definitely ass statues though I remember that

what did the ass statues ever do to you

I mean your main character is a teenager so his romances seem pretty normal.

I never would have guessed how much fun I had playing this game. I was hesitant to play it because it looked like total pocky consuming, weeb shit. Now that I've played it 3 times, I can safely say it's among my all-time favorites.

I will say there's some really cool enemy design in these games

Best video game soundtrack.

It's a good one, but not the best one. Not even within the same series of games. I'll take lots of other Meguro OSTs over this one.

so thankful this OST inspired the creation of jazz music

So in a couple of weeks I'm making a new band page called "Atlus Sound Team", to add the forthcoming Snowboard Kids compilation CD to the database. I wanted to point out that while it seems that the previous Persona game OSTs are credited to Shoji Meguri alone, this one is credited to the Atlus Sound Team, of which Meguri is apparently a part of. Oddly, the Atlas Sound Team along with Meguri had a hand in the other OSTs, but this is the only one where the team in full is credited. The same seems to have happened for some of the Catherine and Shin Megami Tensei soundtracks.
So with that being said, after I make the Atlus Sound Team page, I might motion to the mods to move some of the OSTs on Meguri's page over to that one, unless anyone has any concerns with that.

The atlus sound team stuff should only be with stuff credited to atlus sound team.
Anything credited to a specific composer should stay on the composer's page. I'd say leave em alone

Well that's what I'm saying, this Persona 5 OST is credited to the Atlus Sound Team, and thus it would have to be moved.

I don't think it matters that much, plus rym has this OST listed under him anyway
|
| |
I'll just leave this OST where it is.

There are videogame soundtracks here? Wow. Overall this was a good soundtrack but I think I'll always like 4's the best and parts of 3's more urban sounding soundtrack are strong too. Actually I do love Persona 2 Innocent Sin's soundtrack, but those games are obviously very different than the more modern ones.

This soundtrack gets pretty grating after playing the game. I think Catherine has most of my favourite stuff from Meguro, og one is a perfect game
|

^ Catherine has 'also sprach brooks' which is the chillest hang out song ever (I love the background ambience bar version). Other than Stray Sheep I don't remember too music of the soundtrack. I'm sure there is another one I like but *shrugs* I never played it actually because I just don't really care for puzzle games, but I watched some videos/LPs of it online because I was still interested in the story.
