Yea, man. A real fan would listen to his band even if their music is a steaming pile of bullshit

'Till the end is really great to be honest, and the instrumental in the end is quite nice too. I also kinda enjoy Guns Are Loaded, tho it's a little too Soldier Side 2.0

With the right lyrics Angry Guru could've been a really good SOAD song. It sounds just like something off Mezmerize. I really like most of the first 5 tracks here, especially Lives, Angry Guru and Fuck&Kill.

Lives is catchy.
Funny how that Gunsareloaded guy probably made that account just because he disagreed with the review and probably will never post something here again.
The daily bread on this site huh.

Storaged Melodies guys, Storaged Melodies...
Sadly we can't add bootlegs on this site =(

''and when he screeches "I can't stay sober" it's like nails on a chalkboard.''
Hahahaha couldn't agree more with this.

Yeah but I dunno which album I would liken it to out of the SOAD discography...there's just so much ass on this album.

"The author who wrote the painful review of “Painful Return” clearly doesn’t know his head from his ass when it comes to music. He clearly has never been any kind of real SOAD fan or would have appreciated this album."
So apparently you're not a real SOAD fan if you don't like this even though this isn't SOAD? Fuck off
|

Anyone who says "you're not a real fan because of x" instantly loses all credibility in my eyes.
You don't force yourself to like stuff just to be a good fan. you become a fan because you like the fucking stuff.
|
| |
Yeah, and actual fans will be critical of a bands missteps too and are allowed to like and not like certain things a band does. I fucking hate when people say you're no longer a fan just because you don't like x album. Maybe x album sucks balls imo doesn't mean I don't like x band just not that album. Drives me up a wall when people say that shit as an excuse for someone not liking what they like.

That guy is obviously trolling tbh
|
| |
He might be but I wouldn't put it past him if he wasn't. Been on this site long enough to see burthurt fanboys make an account to base someone over criticism of a shitty band they like.

I can tell he's not trolling mostly because it takes one to know one.

I like early SOAD stuff, but haven't listened to it in probably over a decade. I do remember skipping anything that had this guy on vocals, so there's that.

Debut was more entertaining imo.
This album is unintentionally entertaining and hilarious. That's the difference.
''Lives'' is still a solid tune though.
|
| |
Half this album is enjoyable and the other half is either cringe or forgettable imo. A mid-high 2.5/low 3 for this one. Never Forget reminds me of the debut, and the instrumental track Gie Mou is good.
Let's hold out hope that the following album, which is supposed to be released in the next 6 or 12 months if I recall correctly, ends up being an AOTY contender >:]
