100%
Mag North might be my favourite vocal performance ever.
Doug is just generic mxc voxist #24422
|
| |
I've said a trillion times around here on whichever threads that, yep, Magnetic North is my favorite album of all time vocally, fantastic taste you've got there
Like no joke I Can Do This On An Island is a top 3 Hopesfall song for me just because of Jay

Yeah I would say and most in the genre would say Magnetic North is one of best vocal performances for a whole album ever.
|
| |
I Can Do This On An Island is literally like the best interlude ever made because of the vox
|
| |
There are no words for how much I worship that song lol, easily my favorite interlude

Jay's vocals are all good but his melodies are what makes him unique in the scene
like he's literally the best chorus writer probably ever in his style
|
| |
Agree, there are so many constant switch ups and intricacies in like every single chorus on Magnetic North (that's actually absolutely what I think is missing here)

there really people on here that don't like the last track on this? easily the best song here imo

That place still goes to Space Acad for me but the closer is top five easily
|
| |
Faint Object Camera is 10x better than anything else here imo

the singles ended up being my top 3 anyway but closer is probably 4. whole thing is amazing except drowning potential tho
|
| |
Damn, Drowning Potential is one of my favorites. Last track is still definitely my least favorite but I've grown to love the melody in the chorus, the way that he makes over enunciating 'arbiter' a hook is pretty great and ingenious
