it's a solid lowkey jam but when I saw "Saba ft. Denzel Curry" I was expecting some crazy shit lol
it feels more like one of the loosies he dropped after this like BEAUTIFUL SMILE than a full single imo

It's almost irrational but i worry he will never match this - obviously because this was so incredibly personal. I didn't love Bucket List and anything else he's done really. This is a modern classic tho

it's a fair worry, it's a grim thought but this album was totally fuelled by tragedy, it's an essential part of the music but he can't write about the same thing forever and we don't really know what his nest inspiration will be

yeah for sure, it's a really tricky one because you can 100% understand why this will most likely be his opus. so heartbreaking.
to be fair though, songs like PROM, despite being fuelled by tragedy, are genius in execution anyway.

oh yeah his vocal dexterity and the quality of beats are top notch. the new tunes don't really have those things which worries me a bit

yeah that song is amazing - there are a few I love from bucket list also, photosynthesis obviously but also westside bound 3.
have you ever seen him live? he played in london and i was soooooo surprised about how dope it was, never seen a crowd like it especially for someone I didn't even really think had hit these shores

I don't think he's ever even set foot in Australia lol, I would love to see him someday tho. he can bring any Chicago rappers he wants too, they have such a good scene

Yeah he still had some work to do on his flow and his sound before but good enough for a start. I love the new song with Smino off of the Judas and the Black Messiah film soundtrack.

Yeah I’ll always be impressed at how honest and raw his lyrics on Prom/King were the song punches you right in the gut. He actually sounds like he’s going through the story for the first time and then slowly getting angrier and upset the more he gets into it. LIKE IM MAD FOR HIM THATS HOW SHITTY WHAT HAPPENED IS

Storytelling on prom / king is v 10 day - chance the rapper which is a p obvious comparison but kinda cool how both from chicago and use the prom story as a premise for songwriting
