This album is so hit or miss with me, I'll absolutely love it at certain times (particularly while stoned) but other times its just kinda lost on me. However, the 4.5 is solely because when I do enjoy it, it's quite an amazing experience.

This is a very personal band to a lot of people. And I know quite a few professional musicians like myself that feel the same

Just please don't insult their craft by saying "they should add other instruments". (They tried that in the rescue and it worked with mixed success.) Everything this band does is incredibly intentional ... nothing is a mistake. Nothing is overlooked. If you don't like it-- please go find another band.

"your hand in mine" and "the only moment we were alone", to me, tower over every other post-rock song I have ever heard.

"tomwwa".. the song itself .. has brought me out of depression. Its brought me to tears. I've probably listened to it over 100 times.

If you don't like this band, i think the best thing to do is move on. But please don't think what they've done here isn't 100% on purpose.

Also (not being sarcastic) i would like to hear about other bands -- specifically songs that are better than any of these.

I've tried listening to Godspeed and other bands and nothing i've heard has come close to EITS. But if you could point me to some incredible post rock songs, i would appreciate it

Listen to pg.lost - 'Yes I Am' and 'Siren', it's pretty similar guitar-based post-rock

Heard "Your Hand In Mine". Impressed, although I failed to see the "breathtaking" quality some people have implied it possesses.

Do any of their other albums own as much as this one? I have their second album on vinyl and it's awesome but not on this level. Actually, is their many other post rock records as beautiful as this? As much post rock as I've listened to and loved, none has the particular magic of this album.

I know I pretty much stand alone but I definitely feel as though "All Of A Sudden..." is even better than this. That said this is a phenomenal album too.

Lions, Talk Talk's Laughing Stock is an amazing post rock record. You should also check out some Godspeed You! Black Emperor as well.
