These guys go with the OG metallica formula, 8 songs per album, I.C.U

This is so good i'm just waiting for them to get a proper drummer, bassist, and do something similar to a tour so i can five some of their albums in clear consciousness.

If this had more throat singing it would be an easy 5, tbh.

Gonna jam this again cause it really didn't seem that great the first time

Probably in the minority here but I'm not a fan of the production really.

I understand some skepticism about the overall production and the thematic, however songs like Spectral Burrows, Putrid Fairytale and Salt Thrower are simply master pieces...in fact Crop Killer or War Squids to...and just to think this is almost homemade.
Brutal, beautiful, proggy and catchy. As to the vocals diversity accomplishes the overall angular aspect of the album. I personally love that esoteric "ooom" melodies that goes through their entire discog.
You should check their previous records if you re interested to understand where this is coming from. They all have awesome songwriting.

LOOOOOOOL. pretty cool reaction on your last comment.
I'd say superb album when sober. Superb to Classic when stoned.
for real, there's something about the production here that sometimes you just glue on it, few other times you don't.

I see what you mean. I just described this band to my buddy as "mollusk themed blackened death/progressive sludge metal" and I don't even care how pretentious it sounds because they sound just as insane as that description. I get an Opeth vibe from the dynamic shifts and scaley riffs.

Sure...this can be viewed in two distinct ways:
- an ode to all metal genres with some original brilliance in the way
- a dick in the ass of the "stiff genre wall builders"
Sorry guys, i'm a bit drunk now...but i must rebel myself in favor of the mollusca freedom and against musical boundaries.

I like how it’s assumed everyone is from US or U.K, haha. Good to see that it isn’t the case, need a healthy mix of people. I’m British but so many nationalities went into ‘making me’ & I’m happy to see people of all different cultures represented.

Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
I agree! Nice to see some variety. With how low Sput's volume seems to have been I wouldn't be surprised to see the non-US/UK population be a decent percentage of regulars on Sput.
