a lot more gaze than I generally care for here but Ritual is the most pummeling track I've heard in 2018 so far

Yeah, you can pick up the Zao-sounding aspects to their output, but the differences far outweight the similarities.

Obvious bait. My real question is how many virgins were sacrificed to create the earth shattering beauty of Aftermath, let alone the rest of the album?

Wouldn't say it's necessarily bait. People will dislike this naturally, I just disagree that this is generic or scene in any regard.

man the ending of hollow hour is the best thing ever

the use of electronics on this album is absolutely perfect, really compliments the sound without taking away from the heaviness

How good is ‘Alma Mater’ into ‘Flood’? I love how this is one complete journey & despite all the softer moments it goes hard when it wants to, in fact those moments benefit from the contrast. Hard to pull off but I think they’ve managed it.

Female vocalist is a beast.

The little dances she does in between verses rule too haha.

Ya, tbh Hollow Hour-Flood is one of the best stretch of songs I've heard in a while.

Also pretty amazing how a band like this can keep my attention for 8+ minutes. Contretemps is incredible
