Damn guys. Rounds is probably the first electronic album I really connected with. I just find it to be flawless.

I'd have to agree. Four Tet in general is a frustratingly inconsistent artist tbqh, he makes some rather bewildering choices.
I'd also propose however, that Beautiful Rewind is his most underrated and that a lot of people are really missing something special there. I hated it at first, but years later something clicked. It's basically just everything that makes Four Tet's sound pallet unique refined to its most basic core components. It's odd, repetitive, and very minimal, but it's also perhaps his only succinct actual LP.

Would anyone argue against Morning / Evening being his worst proper LP?
The last five minutes or so of evening are great but as a whole it's a bit (a lot) self indulgent

The new one, Rounds and the Pink comp are the only ones I have 4’d
New Energy, Pause, Rewind and There is Love are all strong 3.5’s
Listened to Rounds yesterday and it’s so different - it’s not at all dance orientated, barely beat orientated a lot of the time, I find it hard to compare to the last two albums or Pink etc
