Well, this is just wonderful so far. I don't know why I expected anything otherwise.

I really, really wanted this to be better than it actually was. It's absolutely still PVRIS, but I was hoping for more "Mirrors" and "Smoke" than "You & I" on this release.

Very enjoyable to listen to, but not memorable enough in any particular way for me to listen repeatedly like I did on their first release.

Caught these guys at House of Blues in Boston last night. The act before Pvris, Canadian dream pop girl Lights, was fantastic. Pvris, on the other hand, was a mixed bag. While the entire band sounded tight and well-produced, Lynn Gunn's vocals were rough pretty much the entire performance. She seemed reserved and unsure, phoning in a lot of the more difficult vocal lines, or just blowing them off entirely. I wondered if it was an anomaly, but reading around the web, it seems like she has been struggling with her vocals in a live scenario for months now. Bummer!

She sounded fine back in July when I saw them open for Muse

Hopefully it is just a short glitch with her vocals and she gets back on track soon. Just skimming the NA Tour Group on FB for this band, I see others saying she was having trouble during the show on the 10th, as well, and others claiming she is currently on vocal rest. Seems like their tour schedule has been pretty brutal as of late.

I saw them back in May opening for Muse and Lynn was shite, worst vocalist on the night. Honestly even her studio vocals on this album are weak and monotone and mumbled.

I listen on ATH-M50's, everything sounds good.
Half is probably one of the best songs here.

What's Wrong and Half are probably my favorite. Anyone Else is top notch too.

"No I never sold my soul,

If I ever do throw my bones to the wolves."

I love the way this line is delivered.
