Whole album has songs that are interesting but just don't take it the next level like the last record did, song's like Montreal and Shoddy Workmanship.

this album misses standout songs

TFIC Pt. II is a standout song IMO, and easily on par with their first album. A few others are growing on me hard, too. Cannonless and Hunting Trip especially.

And I still don't care what anyone says, Trying Year is wonderful. This album's version of Brothers.

I definitely get Daisy vibes from TFIC 2
also yeah I absolutely love Trying Year now, the guitar in it is soooooo good

I'm coming around to this more and more with each pass. Still a 3.5. Might bump to a 4.0 given some more time. Honestly never see this becoming a 4.5+ though.

Yeah, I remember really liking TFIC when it came out, but I forgot almost everything about it a few years later. Now that I'm going through some stuff again, this album is really solid at least on first listen. Trying Year and Dance of Joy are so good
