I heavily disagree with calling tracks 'filler' just because they aren't that good/you don't like them. I can sorta see why you would say that tho since those tracks are a little less significant in the grand scheme of the album but fuck man idk how much times I've seen people on here say shit along the lines of "ehh x album is pre good, a few filler tracks tho (insert some of the most quintessential tracks of the album here)"

her best songs are Buzzcut Season, Bravado and... one of the songs from this for sure, let me work out which one

yeah people seem to confuse the terms "filler tracks" and "songs I like less than others"

I genuinely would call Still Sane filler though, it sounds anaemic af and not in a good way

like i already said, i like white teeth teens but i think it has nothing new to say about the themes she pulls from throughout. same with glory and gore and still sane bc they don't offer any development on what she's saying.

even if they aren't filler they don't contribute anything distinctive to the record (in contrast to practically every song here)

This could be better than pure heroine but idk yet. I've listened to this only like three times but I've listened to pure heroine like three hundred times, and it took me until like last year for me to fully embrace/appreciate it so I don't want to jump to conclusions too quickly with this one

Album just sounds like her trying to be Marina Diamindis and doing a poor job at it

another Lorde album where every song sounds the same

like there isn't anything bad about this (except for Hard Feelings/Loveless which is trash), but it's painfully forgettable

also yeah agree the "boom boom" line is so good only cause it could've been really cheesy and cringy but she said it so confidently it just seemed natural

This has a maximum 'pop music' score of 2.5/5 for Doof, it's alright

She is miles away from being the sort of serious artist people are trying to argue, this isn't Kate Bush, this is just hit making radio bs at its core - she has a long way to go before moving beyond that

Actually listening to this again it's a 2

The ballads are not my thing. Too twee precocious, I can't take them seriously.

'Supercut' is decent, like her vocal choices on that tune
