It should end with ticker tape, agreed
|

yeah its kind of unfortunate that it ends wrong twice. but yeah i dunno every gorillaz album has a shit song or two, this one might have a couple more than their last couple albums but its also 26 songs long so the ratio is pretty standard if ya think about it

My main complaint with this album is that many of the guest stars this time round don't gel with the Gorillaz cartoon universe, and as such don't feel like characters from within it. They feel like outsiders

Nah, Circle of Friends is a legitimately good closer; It works much, much better at least and albeit repetitive is a nice mantra.

Might as well be titled "Damon Albarn collaborates with assorted pop and hip-hop artists: the motion picture"

"My main complaint with this album is that many of the guest stars this time round don't gel with the Gorillaz cartoon universe, and as such don't feel like characters from within it. They feel like outsiders"
that has definitely happened before this album.
|

besides, its pretty evident from a lot of their vids that the guests on gorillaz tracks aren't always a part of their world anyway
not to mention this one kinda seems like it takes place in ours.
