Remember when Brandon used to be really good at metaphors? There's one on this whole album, and it's "love is like a blind archer trying to shoot an apple off my head".

Ironically, if it was Alex Turner that had written such a lyric, he would be reaffirmed as a lyrical genius.

"love is like a blind archer trying to shoot an apple off my head" isn't a metaphor.

oh yeah that's a simile, thanks to all who pointed that out, my b

I point to the line WatchItExplode quoted before as an example of how Brandon used to do both metaphor and simile really well

This is not as bad as everyone is making it out to be. There are some quality tracks on this record that brought me back to the raw sound that used to possess in the good ol' days. The last 3 tracks are solid, Glitterbomb and even No Fun are welcoming to boot. It is nothing groundbreaking, but I wouldn't call it the worst music they have ever made.

I enjoy this, was expecting it to be much worse honestly. Last 3 tracks are solid. Rest are kinda bland but enjoyable enough.

I wish Mike wasn't pals with Skrillex tho. The new Nimble Bastard mix sounds like a heaping pile of dog shit.
