Autopsy never grabbed me as hard as the select few bands that are heavily inspired by them, generally speaking. Take Obliteration for example.. Theyre way better musicians than autopsy and honestly took the general scope of that style to the next level and really rounded it out into legitimately classic status material

I wouldn't say they're better musicians. Chris Reifert is one of my favourite drummers ever. And Autopsy are one of the purest and most defining death metal bands. Obliteration take more influence from Darkthrone than Autopsy. People compare them a lot but I don't think comparing Auotpsy and Oblt is fair, they're still very different imo

i dont think we need more autopsy clones, it's a style that doesn't replicate well and why bother when we already have severed survival. less clones more nuance, of which this album apparently has (still itching to listen to it)

I only want Esoteric clones. Why the best bands are rarely imitated?

"Death metal sucks." *reviews death metal* I mean. If you think death metal sucks, why are you even listening to that genre that supposedly sucks in its entirety? Quite silly, if you ask me.

Its pretty obvious what he means. He has death metal in his pie chart, he does like the genre. It was still a stupid review though.

That's such a blanket statement though, that's my problem with it.

that's par for the course as far as xeno reviews go. don't take his reviews seriously. he definitely doesn't.
