Calculating was more defining for them. In my opinion it had better production. Get that first.
Agreed. Also the Irony of a Dead Scene E.P. would come second in my opinion.

I'll be seeing Dillinger, but this may sound weird, with Thursday.

I just picked this album up the other day, and I love it. I'm wondering if anyone has guitar tab to the songs "We Are The Storm" and "Setting Fire To Sleeping Giants". I have searched everywhere and come up empty. I might just have to figure it out for myself, but this is my last resort.

Anyone?

I don't have that song but the old dillinger guitarist tabbed out the mullet burden himself. http://jfulton.org

Enjoy ;)

It took a long time to get into, but Baby's First Coffin is an amazing song.

Baby's First Coffin took me a few days to get into. Most tracks on Calculating Infinity tooke me months.

Yeah, I listened to a few tracks from Calculating Infinity and didn't bother because I knew it would take me ages to get into.
I think it's because I'm not used to most grind bands (I like the Locust... that's about it) and the different time signatures make it harder to listen to.

I love the cover art for Miss Machine, it's great.

Wow, I take back everything bad I have ever said about Dillinger. This album is great. Panasonic Youth, Sunshine The Werewolf, Setting Fire To Sleeping Giants and Baby's First Coffin are my favourites at the moment. I love the jazz breaks in those last two.

I always said that Dimitri had a better voice than Greg - I was wrong.

One big but though - why is it that everything that Mike Patton touches sounds like a comedy band to me? It's hard to believe that a band who can write stuff like those songs mentioned above can even consider writing stuff like Hollywood Squares. It's sad, really.

I have a hard time refolding the insert. It's so big.

Great album, though I agree that the insert is HUUUUGE!

What's everyone think of the DVD that came in with it? I was watching it in my room when the house was pretty quiet, so my Mom heard it. She thought someone was being tortured. Then, she started screaming along and asked me "Do you actually enjoy this?"

I have most of this album now, and it's absolutely insane. I wish they sold it around here.

Amazing CD, even though its a bit different than their previous stuff, it didn't disappoint at all. Good review also.

this album is genius! I perosnanly don't view this as a movement to alienate older fans or as moe accessible than other albums. I perosnally think that greg is a talented vocalist having seen dillinger live. He actually seems to liek singing every now and then. i tell ya one thing though. He needs to get rid of the beard lol!

nah i belive all dillinegr albusm are in some way genius. patton is a god though, but Greg showed me live taht he codu lhandle patton's vocla parts which is what patton contributed to the band so irony is a dead scene had original vocal ideas too. but this album just rocks!
