well they only change time sigs on occasion, yea. typically just 4/4 or sometimes 6/8.

Its how they play the 4/4s thats the real standout. And yes the songs are usually built in 4/4 but thomas haake does utilize some pretty ridiculous polyrhythyms

Danny Walker is probably my favorite polyrhythmist (?). His stuff in Intronaut is endlessly creative and interesting.
