Lyrically, I think this is a very honest punk record and that's definitely a selling point for me. Musically it is a little less adventurous in the songwriting than the previous two, but the straightforwardness works.

"they were trying very hard to mature and make a mainstream rock record"

I didnt get that from Rented World but this is easily their most mainstream sounding album so far. Also idk why you keep equating mainstream with maturity. Often times when a band tries going mainstream their music gets dumbed down, its not maturity.

@Satty I'll take that as a compliment, brotha...

Nah, Rented World in my eyes was a much more numbers by the book rock record in Menzingers standards than this, but agree to disagree.

The Town is a modern classic wtfff
Also very much agree that Rented World was more mainstream/less complex than this

House on Fire and Bad Catholics are the only slightly lesser songs but I still think they're like 3.5-4 material

Title track alone is reason enough to bump it to a 4.5

like house on fire a lot tbh. the later half of the album is (mostly) weaker than the first, save the bars and the t/t, which is easily the highlight of the album
