Most good art wouldn't exist if artists spent every waking hour worrying about what the pc police is going to say.

Just saw it and was thoroughly impressed. The soundtrack can easily stand on its own two feet and at times it was as if the soundtrack was written before the screenplay

My favorites are Another Day of Sun, Someone in the Crowd, A Lovely Night, Planetarium, Audition, and Epilogue...not in that order.

I can't get the instrumental hook of "Another Day of Sun" out of my head. Ugh and then how Hurwitz sticks a down-tempo version towards the end...brilliant.

The instrumental hook in Someone In The Crowd is the one stuck in my head since watching it. People are saying City of Stars is the most catchy but I gotta disagree.

City of Stars is great, I just wish they had a definitive version. The one with Ryan is the right feel but too short, and then the version with the couple singing at the piano has a cool bridge section, but of course they're giggling and it's just sparse piano.

The giggling annoys me a bit. In the context of the movie it's great, but just listening to the soundtrack makes it kind of off putting

I have the hook in Another Day of Sun and Someone In The Crowd playing on infinite repeat in my head and out of my headphones/speakers ever since seeing the movie Monday. What a spectacular film.

Epilogue is by far my favourite song, it's so incredible. I love how I can almost rewatch the movie through listening to the soundtrack.

Ryan and Emma aren't the best singers and I don't think their mediocrity really adds much of anything to the soundtrack but I definitely don't feel it takes anything away from the songs either.

Bumping this again because City of Stars is a classic.
