Debut and TJOM are best, but this and Weightless are cool too

SgtShock thank you for the honest feedback, I answered the question at the bottom of page one (or at least attempted to) but I'm willing to accept it was a misfire based on my own opinion.
In showmanship, as said before, arrogance isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I found this record refreshing in that it made me feel something beyond 'shit, that's impressive'.

Also thankyou guys for another feature, that's super cool of you!

It's a good album, but I wish it was less robotic. The Joy of Motion had more melodic parts which added to the overall flow.

I like the percussive sounds they make with guitars, but those leads are just tasteless

Doesn't help that the percussive sounds don't really do shit either. I'm tired of this flavor of the month bullshit. Their over reliance on djent shit hurt weightless and now that everyone lost their shit over Physical Education (m least avorite AAL track) they made PE - the album.

honestly you guys are overstating the thumping presence here. and the drums are fine, yea some of the techniques are overdone but it's not all that's being utilized. I'm not feeling this being "robotic" either but it's not as immediate or catchy as the other records. I do agree some of guitarwork is uninteresting yet I like how more dense the record is overall.

"they made PE - the album."
Better rename this album to The Madness of Many Thumbs
|

"they made PE - the album.'
PE is their simplest song and a lot more melodic than anything on here. It's polar opposite to what most of this album sounds like.

Album is pretty fantastic

Honestly I felt this was less robotic than a lot of work on their previous records, and I also fit into the category of while I don't exactly HATE 'Physical Education' I thought it made for a baffling choice of single...
*looks at negs*
I'mma regret that 'arrogant' comment, aren't I? -_-

"I thought it made for a baffling choice of single..."
not that baffling considering it's the most catchy song on the record

You have no idea how fucking lame this album is compared to their works, I may bump it up with some time but fuck this is boring. I couldn't give 2 shits how technical or impressive it is when they sacrificed what made them interesting as a band.

True. Principal Tosin is the shit.
not that baffling considering it's the most catchy song on the record
Fair, but at the same time I think it sells both the record and the band's overall sound a bit short. I know Tooth + Claw was a promo but I think it woulda been awesome with a video too!

Bit objective putting that...? What do you feel made them interesting a band that was lost this time around?

Am I the only one who found Joy to the be their weakest album? I'm kind of confused by the comments saying that this one is not as good as JOM, after just a few listens I already think it is better. I also don't get how the drums are being complained about, I thought they were great.
