Attila has been on a steady decline since Outlawed though seemingly counter to a lot of opinions here I also really liked Guilty Pleasure so suffice it to say I was moderately excited to see what Chaos was all about.
Unfortunately it's all about that life and terrible music. The WORST part of Attila are accentuated on this album. Trash lyrics were a given but they're even worse than ever as Fronz repeats the same old shit, it's got to be getting old even to their fans.
That said, the drums in the mix are worse, their technicality and brutality dumbed down by down by stupid synch gimmicks. Speaking of synth gimmicks there's plenty more of that crap too. I used to appreciate when Fronz would throw in short rap verses as they sounded angry and showcased his actual musical ability to be rhythmic - something not all vocalists possess.
Lastly, the breakdowns suck they're slow and tuned to sound "hard" but are in fact boring and don't make me at all want to go crazy in the mosh pit. I agree with the reviewer that is sounds more like slowed down 90s era nu-metal trash than even Attila's notoriously trashy but heavy sound.
I appreciate the work this band has done in the past, but they've fully materialized into the conflagration dumpster fire they were always meant to be in my book - only now it's son all musical fronts.
