I was like "myxamatosis sucks" and you were like "that's my favourite song I only dont like the song about raindrops"

wow rip that ranking/pagebreak
this rings bells, but given that sit down is one of the better lowlights here I'd call it a bad take
|
| |
And then I was like "that's the best song" and you were like "only thom yorke can make yelling about raindrops menacing" and I was like "what the fuck did rain ever do to you" and you were like "httt is a solid 3.5"
|
| |
And then u said something about the sequencing and I probably said something like "amsp has the worst sequencing of any album of all time ever" and then you defended amsp maybe and then talons probably yelled something about a basement

I'm so tempted to just delete that comment johnny

it sounds like this conversation was older than the review tbh; definitely sounds familiar, and given that my patience for this one has worn off over time it was probably accurate to how I felt then. if the review is older than the conversation, then I was flat-out apologist posting over this for no coherent reason hmm strange
"I probably said something like "amsp has the worst sequencing of any album of all time ever""
Ah yeah, if this convo was when I imagine it was, I had v much not worked out how much of a mess amsp is lol

The convo was like maybe 2 months ago

I highly doubt this bc my dislike of this one goes way further back (as per the rev - skimmed thru and my opinions of most of the songs that it slams haven't changed), but if that's the case I guess put it down to my thinking my thinking Myxamatosis is top 3 here and a low-key banger?

rowan imma have to beg you to, uh, sit down on that one?
|

You may have even said something about amnesiac having bad sequencing too to which I probably said something like "fuck your dad, buster"

iirc there was definitely a conversation around 2 months ago where I said Amnesiac has wackass sequencing but thrives off it in a way this + amsp most certainly do not lol
|

It was utter chaos and you were at the center of it like the eye of a devastating tornado of bad radiohead takes
|
| |
My takeaway was that you exaggerate your negative feelings towards this one to relieve yourself of the guilt you feel for being a lowkey AMSP apologist and thinking amnesiac isn't perfect

I have a PhD

insofar as the eye of that tornado would be the only part of it not directly swept up in bad radiohead takes (but also enabling them because it just can't help itself) this sounds about right
and hey, I've always put amsp in the middle third of their discog (initially mid-middle, now low-middle) + held amnesiac a cut above, so cease this slander or I'll go bump the Bends thread

This is like Radiohead's "with teeth". Its like they were just making a collection of singles instead of conceptualizing an album. That makes it hard for it to stand up to their best works, but there are so many good songs anyway, and a lot of this would wind up in my top 50 radiohead tracks

Kid a, amnesiac, tkol, in rainbows are all on their own level and then it goes >>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>this >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
