Yes, that rating refers to an extrapolation of a small fragment of my opinion - in this case, the need to preserve some fraction of the worthy old guard in times of ever increasing mediocrity - not the unrefined and somewhat laughable attempt to condense a whole opinion into a single number that you (presumably?) employ. Either you infer more from those digits than would be wise, or your opinions are suitably narrow and/or simple to delegate in such a way. Either way, it makes no difference to me.

I will admit that this specific extrapolation applied to Thrice has perhaps lost its relevance in comparison to that of production technique, to which I will relocate and rate accordingly.

This has something about it, it's definitely atmospheric, I'll revisit this one every month before the end of the year and see if it grows but for now it's far too weighted down by chipmunk vox squiggles and other such doodling

relistened it a few times last night now that's on Spotify... It grew off me a bit, had to downgrade it. It's just too disjointed for my taste. There's no song on it that's 100% good from start to finish (except Pink+White), there are a lot of artistic choices that were made that sadly I just can't back up and overall the arcing theme while engaing is just not pulled off in a completely satisfying way.
