I am really digging so far. Kinda reminds of a more credible old-school Ensiferum

Ensiferum has always been super overrated imo. Still good, just overrated lol. Have only heard their first 2 though so idk.

Super overrated, agreed. And the first 2 are the only ones that were worth it. Then they basically became rock stars

One of my fondest festival memories is in like 2016 or something, Windir were playing live at Graspop and Valfar's brother was on vocals (he was awesome), and I got soooo drunk for it because I was so hyped for it that I puked everywhere 1 hour before the set, and I lost all of the food / alcohol consumed in that day up to that point. So I just continued drinking on an empty stomach. Only took a few 7% belgian beers in 20 minutes to get me fucking wasted and I made a total prick of myself in the front row. 10/10 would do again.

apparently the guy died in a blizzard storm, hiking in norway, though that's sad and fucked up, it's the perfect way to go out for him, and in my opinion epic just like the music.

Never thought I’d hear a “yeehaw” in a BM track but here we are.

Dont tell anyone interested into the genre, that this is a black metal album. Novice listeners might be turn off by all the famous stereotypes. Just tell them to give it a try, and they will be converted in the couple of minutes.

Like i did.
