If the review got 0 Pos I would admit it's bad. 33 percent POS indicates to me a bunch of trolling and upset Kanye fans. The review obviously isn't top notch but some of y'all are throwing stones from a glass house.

someone in this thread literally said they only pos'd because of the header.

edit: did some comments get nuked or something because I swear I saw someone say they pos'd for the header alone.

again, review is an entertaining read IMO. if it wasn't by Hil the pos/neg ratio would probably be like 60%. there's some bits that, while kinda dumb, made me laugh in a good way

Your age has everything to do with your knowledge of hip hop. You were fucking three years old when Doe or Die dropped. Expecting you to have any understanding of that time period is hilarious - especially for your generation who wears their ignorance of history as a badge of pride.

That basically explains why you are completely oblivious as to who AZ is. "err isn't he just like some old guy" and you don't appreciate KRS-One.

Your ignorance is absolutely appalling. "AZ isn't a legend". To who? 3 year olds? He dropped the best verse in the history of hip hop, and this isn't just my opinion, he renowned for being one of the best lyricists ever. Ask Nas, ask Lupe Fiasco, ask KRS, ask Eminem, ask anyone but a fucking three year old.

The thing I absolutely cannot stand about this site is people speaking on artist's discographies when they quite plainly have not even bothered listening to the entire discography... yall listen to Kanye West's albums 1000x each, then you listen to KRS once and conclude he's not as good... lol you are literally holding a semi-illiterate clown in higher esteem than master poets.

Expecting you to understand DSOTM as much as someone who grew up in the 70s is indeed hilarious. Plus you weren't even born in 73 so it's telling you had to make up a hypothetical situation that doesn't actually apply to you.

1. az didnt drop the best verse in hip hop

2. for the thousandth time, nobody agrees with you that age deters you from understanding a genre, just as guitarded made with his point, you simply dont make any sense like age isn't an argument here it just isnt

3. I honestly have not heard every single KRS one release, but Ive heard the majority, there are better hip hop discogs

4. I know exactly who AZ is

5. I appreciate KRS one hes one of the better rappers out there imo

6. youre seriously a clown and an idiot and every argument you make just intensifies the laughs directed at you

can you do anything but repeat the most banal internet-burns? you've literally wasted the last 12 years of your life on here saying childish insults to people you don't like. I honestly feel bad for you.

Music's quality or lack of quality is timeless, you don't need to be born during a certain time period to understand that.

1. yes he did, you were three years old

2. Yes you do, but this is impossible to explain to stubborn/arrogant people. Chuck couldn't make a valid argument to save his life.

3. Cool opinion bro, too bad that's the opinion of someone who was 3 years old when KRS best album dropped...and was sperm for most of the prime of KRS' career

4 No, you don't have a clue.

5. Congrats you're learning something at least.

6. Nothing more laughable than a three year old talking about hip hop.

I made a valid point, you couldn't respond, so you went with a banal internet burn. Trust me kid you don't want to think of chuck as a role model.

Separating hip hop from it's culture and history is literally the most asinine thing any reviewer could ever do. Kids pretending they understand hip hop as much as their elders is just as ridiculous as a kid who read a WWII book who thinks he knows more than a WWII veteran.

This is upsetting to kids who think they know it all, who can't possibly fathom the concept of not appreciating something because they don't understand the zeitgeist, (waits for kids to google zeitgeist) but it's just how it is.
